The day is finally here! Milan! Wanting a career in the fashion world, Milan has always been one of the top cities I wanted to visit. So far – I cannot complain. We all ran out of the bus as fast as we could to meet our tour guide and start the day.

Milan wasn’t what I expected but I do not mean that in a bad way. Thinking about italy and all of the places we already visited, they all had this old, historical touch to them. Milan was much more industrial like. Which I don’t mind, I love the city. The best way to contrast Rome from Milan are the car sizes. Rome is much tinier while Milan definitely had its fair share of the bigger sizes.

Milan felt powerful. You just knew this is where people get work done and do not mess around. It was the perfect environment for me.

I spent a lot of my day people watching. All together, this has been the most diverse city we have been to. I saw so many different nationalities, those who are visiting and living there. It was refreshing to see such an accepting place. It was also fun to see the different outfits. Everyone, and I mean everyone dresses like a movie star. My favorite is seeing little grandmas rocking some nikes with a leather jacket. Also – Italians make jeans look professional. Im not sure how they do it, but I envy them.

We took a lot of stops on our tour but the only one that truly mattered to me was the Duomo. I have always wanted to see this gothic masterpiece of a church and finally being able made me want to hug my teacher as tight as possible for making this happen. It is by far my favorite church we have seen and this city is the perfect way to end out trip.

Only two days left! Ciao for now!
