The trip to Venice was so rushed but so worth it. Next stop is Milan! We went on a walking tour of the Duomo di Milano, which was absolutely stunning. My jaw literally dropped the second I step foot in there and allowed my eyes a second to adjust to the dim lighting. My eyes immediately went up the gigantic pillars and felt as though they kept going up.

I was in disbelief of the grandeur. It is over 300 feet tall made in the gothic architecture style. The gorgeous Duomo features centuries old stain glass windows made prominently in Italy and France with the french stain glass pointing itself out with purple hues.

Everything in the Church was considered and detailed. The gothic architecture was made on such a large scale because they were trying to constantly remind the followers of the religion that they are small in comparison to god.

When we finished the tour we went over to see the castle in Milan. I never imagined moats being so grand, but then again everything in this country is grand so I shouldn’t be surprised.

We had a free lunch and I was craving something fresh so my fellow veg heads went to a local juice bar and had smoothies and cooked farro with vegetables and tofu. I was satisfied. It felt amazing to eat something that wasn’t drowning in olive oil!

Overall this day was a nice transition day and pretty calm in order to get ready for the busy days ahead! Tomorrow is Burson-Marsteller and the last day is Hearst Italia.
