Today is the last day. We began the day by visiting Hearst Italia. They publish several magazines including the Italian versions of Elle, Cosmopolitan, MaryClaire and several other publications.

I found some parts of the layout and features discussions interesting. Just like many of the places that we have been, the folks working there clearly love what they do and that’s really nice to see.

Our students were really good there. They asked a lot about body image and using photoshop. The PR style answers from the reps were expected but a little disappointing to them (and me).

They spent quite a bit of time talking about how the model on their one cover was “real.” But they also did talk about needing to photoshop her. One of our students who is familiar with the model said that the woman is paid to workout 6 hours a day… not quite as real as they say!

After we headed into the city center for some free time! I did some shopping… or should I say, more shopping almost all for Alexandra!

Before dinner, we all had another sharing session about our favorite culture and professional visits. The students all signed cards for us faculty members. It was nice.

Dinner antics!

Dinner was a lot of fun! A full three courses of appetizer, pasta and meat. We even had cake & Prosecco to celebrate Emily’s birthday. A good ending!
