Today in Assisi was amazing. Although it was an early morning, I really loved looking at the countryside as we made our way to Assisi. Once we got to Assisi I was amazed with how beautiful it was. This is what I pictured all of Italy looking like and it was a great place to spend the day. I loved touring all of the churches and seeing the beautiful stained glass and artwork. Earlier in the semester, I did a project on artwork in Assisi it was really unreal to see it in person. I loved the paintings of St. Francis. I also loved touring this beautiful city and getting to eat some foods I’ve never had before. I tried lentil soup for the first time and pickled veggies, and truffle. It all was delicious. After we made it back from the nice walking tour and went to the hotel, I went on a walk with my roommates and we found a field full of flowers and we took tons of beautiful pictures. It was the most amazing sunset I have ever seen. I really enjoyed how quiet Assisi was and how peaceful it felt. I’m excited to see the next city tomorrow!
