Going into today, I knew it was going to be one to remember and one to be sad about. Today was our very last day spent in the beautiful city of Rome. I felt especially sad going into today because I knew this could be the last day I may ever get to spend in Rome for the rest of my life. Needless to say, I was soaking in everything the day had to offer.

Although we had our last media visit at Enel today (which was extremely interesting), the part of today that stood out to me the most was definitely making pasta and ravioli in Marlon Brando’s apartment. After we all cleaned up from the day, we all took a refreshing walk across the Tiber River and arrived at the apartment. Once inside, I got excited as I saw the eggs, flour, rolling pins, and aprons awaiting us.

The experience of making the pasta and ravioli was so much fun. It was eye-opening to actually get to make pasta and ravioli from complete scratch. Usually in America, most people purchase their pasta at a grocery store instead of making it from scratch. This was completely different than what I was used to, and I felt like an Italian chef (even if it was only for an hour). Even though I do not necessarily like to cook, this was an experience I thoroughly enjoyed and will never forget.

Maybe the best part about the experience was when we were able to wine and dine in his apartment after making parts of our meal. Everything about the meal was delicious, and it was awesome to know that we helped to make the delicious meal. Overall, this experience is something I know I may never be so lucky to run into again.
