I really didn’t think saying goodbye would be as hard as it really was. Not to the country, but to all of my friends that I see on a regular basis.

I see these girls and Josh every single day at school and I never thought anything of it until today. This is the last time I’ll probably see some of these people ever again as we all begin to graduate and move on with life.

I have a little bit of time left in school, but Josh, Morgan and Casey are done and moving away around the country. There’s a good chance that I any never see them in person ever again. And as I’m sitting in the airport waiting for Vince to begin the second half of my extravaganza, catching up on five blogs because I was either too tired, distracted or out of Wi-Fi, all I can think about is this opportunity I had and how I didn’t let it slip away.

I can’t help but reflect on these last two weeks on the friendships I’ve made, bettered and kept. These girls plus Josh were the most empowering group of women I’ve ever experienced. Everyone constantly had each other’s backs and were rooting for the best.

I’ve never heard so many girls give each other compliments and feed off of each other’s love and compassion. I really hope more students get to experience this with people they are surrounded by every single day.

We constantly brought each other out of our comfort zones and are always there for support of a little nudge. Nicole wearing the bright yellow skirt was just one example of that. She’s completely neutral business casual and she bought the dress in Florence and was really scared to wear it. But she wore it on the last night and she looked amazing. I’m so proud of her for going out of her comfort zone.

I’m sad to see everyone leave but it’s time to for me to pack up and catch the train back to Milan. This trip was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I’m so happy I chose to take it. Thank you Helen. Thank you Robin. Thank you Dar. Thank you Jan. Thank you for showing me the world.
