Today was not only our last day in Milan but our last day in Italy. I again missed breakfast but just because I had to have the perfect outfit for this final media visit. Our final media visit was for the famous publishing company Hearst Italia. Hearst Italia publishing magazines like Cosmopolitan, Elle, and Marie Claire.

We took public transportation, again and again, we didn’t all fit on one of the busses, so we had to take two. We finally arrived at Hearst, and I felt like Andrea Saches when she first arrives at Runway in The Devil Wears Prada. It was everything I had ever imagined it would be and more. Seeing these editors who were so incredibly passionate about their jobs was terrific, and it makes me hope that I’ll be that passionate when I find a job. We got to meet the Editor-In-Cheif of Elle and Cosmopolitan. As well as, the art directors for both magazines. It felt like a dream, complete with free magazines.

After our visit, we got the afternoon free, and basically, all of us chose to go back to the city center to shop and find our last souvenirs. My goal was to treat myself to something fancy, but as soon as I walked into Versace, I realized that everything was going to be out of my price range, so I settled for some perfume from Zara for 10 euros. We also got some Luini which is Italian fast food we had already gotten once before but went back because it was so good.

Then we found our bus back to the hotel all on our own. We got back to the hotel and prepared for our final meal in Italy. This last meal was probably the best yet. Pictured below:

We were also sent some champagne from our former tour guide Matteo. Then we headed off to our hotel, and I packed, showered, and prayed that my suitcase would be under 50 lbs (which it was btw). Traveling to Italy was one of the best experiences of my life and getting to do it with my classmates made it even better. I’ll leave this journey with knowledge about Italy that I didn’t have before and also new friends that will last a lifetime.
