Milan is a beautiful city. Upon arriving i noticed that it looks close to a modern city as we know of in the USA. There are advertisements and store fronts around every corner. When we got to the duomo I was so amazed with how much details they used when building this facade. When we walked inside it reminded me of something you would see in Harry Potter. There was amazing stained glass which our guide told us were used to teach the Bible. Since there was little education, the people would use the pictures for the teaching of the catholic religion. I never knew this, and now I have a whole new appreciation for stained glass windows in churches. Once we were done touring the beautiful Duomo, we got lunch and we ate some Italian Street food which reminded me of a pepperoni roll accept with salami and mozzarella. It really yummy. After lunch we had a walking tour of Milan. Which is where we saw some modern sculptures and a beautiful castle. The castle had a moat (without water now) where a cat colony lived which was cute. Today was a great day in Milan and I’m excited to see what tomorrow has in store.
