First of all, sorry for the terrible pun, I couldn’t resist. Second of all, being able to sleep in was the most amazing thing in the world. Even though I ended up waking myself up at 8:15 for no reason. It was still so relaxing to have a day to do whatever we wanted under the sun. And luckily, we had beautiful weather.
Morgan and I met up for breakfast and talked for a while, while being bothered by pigeons. And then I got ready for the day and went to Nikole’s room to work on blog posts and hang out. At noon a big group of us went to lunch at this very cute restaurant. I don’t remember what it was called but I got a really good panini.
We decided we wanted to shop in Florence so we wandered around and went to Zara and H&M and some other stores. But Morgan and I were absolutely exhausted and kind of wanted to be away from huge groups. So we just wandered off and got gelato and told everyone we’d meet back up at 4.
We had a great time talking and exploring Florence. I didn’t know her at all prior to this trip and she graduated so I don’t know when I’ll be able to see her after the trip. Which is sad but I’m glad I met her.
We stumbled upon a vintage shop which was really exciting because I’ve been searching for them all over Italy. Unfortunately it was really expensive. So we just looked.
After we got back to the hotel we decided to get dinner with Nikole. I keep forgetting to make note of the restaurants we go to but we went to a cute place and sat next to some American girls who just arrived in Italy today and their luggage was lost. We gave them a few tips about Italy and talked. They were so nice.
We also indulged in the pool, sauna, and turkish bath. The pool was pretty cold and the saunas were really warm so there was no happy medium. But we wanted to take advantage of having a pool at all.
I’m going to miss Florence so much. I wish we had more time there. But on to the next city!
