Remember anytime that I said that whatever we did that day was my favorite and the most beautiful? Well I lied, because seeing Assisi today was gorgeous and I only wish we had more time here! The views that we were lucky enough to see were absolutely amazing!
When we first were able to get off of the bus, we walked towards the church of St. Clare, where the view was stunning!
We were able to have three hours of free time where we could grab some lunch and do some shopping on our own. While walking around, Courtney and I found the cutest little customization shop where they were able to sew names and phrases onto aprons, hand towels, bathrobes, and so much more! You can guess that’s where I got most of my souvenirs for my family and friends.
After this we took a tour through a small part of Assisi and St. Francis Basilica. This gorgeous church had so much to offer, and so much artwork on the inside. However, my favorite part of the whole basilica was the garden right behind it! Of course, the weather made everything better too, because the sky was as blue as I’ve seen it here!
Tomorrow morning, we have to leave extremely early because the Chancellor of Germany is coming to tour the St. Francis Basilica which I think is super awesome. If we were here one more day, I think that would be an amazing opportunity to try and see her while she’s here. But I’m just as excited to see Florence tomorrow too! Only one more week in Italy, keep reading to see how it ends 🙂
