We all were still so exhausted today. We just can’t seem to catch up on sleep. But we had such a great time at both media visits they were so insightful and interesting.

I think I can agree with the general consensus that Art Attack was such an amazing place. La Repubblica was also really great. It’s really refreshing to see businesses that really love what they’re doing and really want to have a positive impact on their industry and their community.

I thought the data journalism was so fascinating. I never really think about all the effort it takes to make the amazing webpages and infographics that I see online every day. I think that’s something I would love to do one day.

I really enjoyed walking through Trastevere during lunch time. I think it’s a beautiful, lively town. We got paninis at a small restaurant, and then we got gelato. Matteo had to show us where to go, which ended up being a theme of the day.

Later, we decided to go back into Rome during our free time, so we asked Matteo and Andrea how to get bus tickets and then we couldn’t figure out where they told us to go. So we were going to turn back around and ask them again and then we ran into them, fancy that. Then they walked with us and we got tickets and went into Rome.

We ate at a restaurant that looked really nice at first. But the waiters were a little touchy. And we got our food really quickly, but it wasn’t great. Mine tasted exactly like Chef Boyardee. Emily and Beth thought their food was bland. So we just left.

We got gelato (again) at this place called Venchi that had a chocolate wall. You read that correctly. A chocolate wall. Chocolate was dripping from the ceiling. The gelato was pretty good. We walked to see the Trevi Fountain again at night and it was so beautiful. I’m really proud of us for figuring out how to get into and out of Rome in one piece.
