I’ve been starting every morning with my alarm blaring in my ear, with my phone at 20 percent, and having to tiptoe my way through a maze to take a shower while everyone is sleeping. While in the shower, I hear three different alarms go off.
After a busy morning of an 8am breakfast and four girls in their 20’s sharing a small mirror in the tiny bathroom and relying on the reflection of our balcony door, we departed for Vatican City where we had a lecture at the Vatican News, the Vatican, St. Peters Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. It was pouring down rain so three of us were huddling under my 5 Euro umbrella.
In-between the media visit and the cultural visit, we went to a restaurant nearby where I had fettuccine al ragu di polpo, which is a pasta with red sauce and octopus. It was delicious. I’ve never been a beer but I’ve really been enjoying all of this Italian beer. It’s a lot different from American beer for sure.

Me Carmen and a couple education students went to the Pittsburgh bar. The owner is from Canada and moved to Rome when he was 16. He wasn’t from Pittsburgh, but he was a big Pittsburgh Fan.
