I can’t believe this amazing trip is over. I wish I could go back in time and do it all over again a million times. This was a truly unforgettable trip.
I’m a little emotional and I can’t figure out if it’s genuine or out of jet lag. Probably both. Words cannot describe how valuable this trip was for me. More than anything it was the company I was keeping. I made so many kind, funny, and genuine friends. It breaks my heart to leave them. Especially because some of them have graduated. Some of them are Matteo who lives in another country.
Every second of my time in Italy felt like a dream. Everywhere I looked something was beautiful, something interesting to see. I hope with all of my heart that one day I can go back to this beautiful country. Or even travel to other countries. The world is wide and wondrous.
I will carry these stories and experiences with me throughout my life. And probably talk about them nonstop for the next three months at least. I’ll think about the food I ate, the people I met, and the wine I drank for months, probably years to come. Especially that cannoli I ate in Assisi. It was truly the finest dessert I have ever, and will ever eat.
Goodbye for now Italy, but not forever.
