We arrived in Florence today and the area is super pretty! Unfortunately, we did not have as great of weather as we did while in Assisi. But the views are still very beautiful!

Our day started with a three hour bus ride and when we arrived, we had some free time to get some lunch and look around at the different shops. It’s almost like the New York City of Italy when it comes to all of the different shops. Florence is known for their real leather and honestly, it’s hard not to want everything.

Then we took a nice tour inside the museum with the Michael Angelo statue of “David“. The statue is larger than I had ever thought, and the detailing on it is absolutely amazing.

Next was the walking tour throughout Florence and the city has so much historical background. The different little features throughout the city and on the side of buildings are so hard to notice, but now that they are pointed out to us, they’re hard to miss! It’s crazy how much you could walk past if you didn’t know the history.

After saying bye to our super sweet tour guide, we went to a restaurant famous for their pizza. Of course, it was delicious and the tiramisu was amazing!

Getting to our hotel, we were excited to see what our rooms would be like. When my roommates and I walked in, we got super excited for the amount of room we have in our bedroom. However, we looked into the bathroom and realized that we don’t actually have a shower…that’s right. It’s actually a handicap accessible room, therefore in the middle of the bathroom, there a shower nozzle and drain which means the whole bathroom is basically a shower stall.

Although that doesn’t sound bad, you’d be surprised about how much it sprays, including your dry towels, pajamas, and the toilet paper for the toilet. But on the brighter side, the shower pressure is great! With tomorrow being our free day, I’m excited to relax and let the whole trip sink in. It’s been amazing so far and being able to walk around at our own convenience is going to be even better!

Plus, I think you’ll really like my blog post for tomorrow, so keep reading!
