Today was pretty long, but in a really nice way. We woke up nice and early to have some of our lovely breakfast before we head off to two of our media visits. We went to an advertising agency called Art Attack and a newspaper called La Repubblica. So far these were my two favorite visits.
Art attack was very upbeat and made me 100% interested in a career that I never pay any attention to. Their facility, staff and work kept me listening the whole time. Their videos were phenomenal (especially the mothers day one – I saw some teary eyes in the room).
La Repubblica was the definition of people loving their jobs. I may not be the biggest fan of journalism – but they definitely know how to make it look fun!
Today was filled with gelato so thats all that matters, and we also had clear skies…. until we got back to the hotel and decided to get dinner. It wasn’t until then the rain came thundering down and had us completely soaked. The whole experience was quite sad. There were almost tears but the pizza was the best one I had yet… and I had pizza.. everyday so far.
So if theres one thing I learned about Italy its that everything is very small. For example, my friend Greg completely missed his small stool yesterday and fell. hard. I should mention that he took three stools down with him. It was probably one of the better times in my life, especially when an Italian couple was laughing at him. Don’t worry though he’s perfectly fine.
Another fun day in Rome and I only have one more full day here! Soon to come: Assisi
