I want to start this out with saying that this is a day late, I’m sitting outside cooking in the sun with Carmen, Francesca, Emily and Nicole while we are talking about our zodiac signs, doing absolutely anything we can think of to get rid of this writers block but keep greeting distracted.
Yesterday, we woke up early and left for Art Attack, a cool little PR firm. Their creative director was so passionate about his job that the owner had to keep cutting him off while he even still continued to talk. Their office was such an aesthetic and modern. Everyone there was so cool and collected and having a fun time. They also were nice enough to have a little lunch with us.
It seems like everyone here is so passionate about their job and mostly enjoys what they do every day with who they work for. That’s so inspiring because there are so many adults in the US that say they are miserable and hate their jobs.
From there we went to La Repubblica which was incredible. They don’t have a sign on their building for security reasons. They talked a lot about how they do long projects and data journalism. They were very comparable to the Washington Post. We took a really small tour through the news room and the front page discussion room.
We had a free evening so we went to a place Matteo recommended. During the walk, it poured down rain hard. We all had protective gear but still got soaked. We ended up at the Pizzarea a half hour later.
Me, Carmen, Greg, Aislin went to a snack bar later where Greg missed the chair and fell back onto three bar stools. Everyone died of laughter.
