Today was a bit of a challenge for me, I woke up really drowsy. And that theme lasted all day long. The weather has also been bringing down my mood a lot. I’m trying not to let it get to me but it is. Along with the fatigue, my feet hurt pretty much the whole day. So again, I tried my best to not let this get to me.
During the Vatican Media visit I was trying so hard to pay attention and stay engaged but it was difficult. I also wish Charlotte got to talk more because she seemed like she was really interesting, but the men kept talking over her. Typical.
For lunch we went to Satiricus, my food was good but it took a long time for the food to arrive for some of the other girls in our group and they also did something very strange to our check, we think they overcharged us. But we were in a rush for our tour so we just paid and left. That brought the mood down too.
I liked looking at the art in the Vatican and definitely would have taken more photos if it weren’t raining the whole time. but alas.
The real challenge of the day didn’t happen until after the tour of the Vatican. Andrea made us get on the correct bus, but it was going in the wrong direction. So we had to get off and wait for a while and get back on the same bus going in a different direction. And it was still raining and our feet still hurt a lot. That was a real struggle.
Once we got back to our room we just laid in bed for a bit to recover. Then decided to walk back to a restaurant we saw yesterday. Turns out it was a little further than we expected and it was raining pretty hard but we walked all that way. The restaurant was very crowded too.
This post is really negative and I apologize. I really hope tomorrow is less of a struggle. I’m just disappointed that it’s going to rain almost every day we’re in Rome.
