Another amazing day in Roma. Today was our Vatican visit. We spent the day in Vatican City where we started with a media visit where we talked to representatives from Vatican News. This was a really neat visit because we got to take an inside look at the Vatican and how they have to strategically plan media. This news source was particularly interesting because they have to produce news in so many different languages. I liked also what Charlotte Smeds (who runs the Instagram account) had to say about making it different from the Pope`s Instagram. From the media visit we ventured to the Vatican where we had a guided tour. It was very beautiful there. My favorite part was the Gallery of Maps. It was breathtaking to see how much details there were in the paintings. I think I loved this so much because I love to travel and it was combining my love for travel and art all in one. It almost made me feel adventurous and made me want to continue to see the world. I have never felt so moved by art in my life like I was in the Gallery of Maps. From there we went to the Sistine Chapel. This was also very beautiful and everywhere you looked there was a story to be told with the beautiful paintings. Today was a very nice day filled with beautiful art and great information. I was glad to have had the opportunity to see such ancient and works of art.
