Kimmie Prokurat, raised in Philadelphia, is finishing up her Point Park career with a shiny new BFA degree in Dance and Broadcast Journalism and a trip to Italy! She spent most of her time in college dancing in the studios of the Conservatory and on multiple stages around Pittsburgh and New York. While studying at school, she was privileged to perform choreographic works of legendary and prolific minds like José Limón, Jennifer Archibald, and Larry Keigwin.
In addition to her classes, she helped create and lead the on-campus food pantry and wrote various stories for the University’s independent paper. During her Junior year, Kimmie also had the pleasure of interning at 412 Food Rescue and competing in the 2016 Miss Pennsylvania pageant.
Outside of her school life, she teaches indoor cycling at a local boutique fitness studio and models for talent agencies based out of Pittsburgh and NYC.
Her hobbies include vegan cooking, listening to an obscene number of podcasts, petting fluffy animals, and being in bed by 9 o’clock.
She can’t wait to submerge herself in European culture (for the first time ever) and eat copious amounts of Italian food to kick off her first few weeks as a graduate!
